O'Brien Consulting Services Browsers Page
With each new browser version comes new features. Although Microsoft and Netscape compete against each other (and often try to corner the market with features that only works on their browsers), each version has a base level of improvements that both company's browsers support.
With Netscape Navigator 4.0 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 came Dynamic HTML (or DHTML, or HTML4). DHTML allows for dynamic content (where information can be added or deleted to a page on the fly), greater formatting, native animation, and better interactivity. Before DHTML, Web pages were no more than static pages of text and graphics, just like any sheet of paper. With DHTML, Web pages can come alive providing more interativity.
Considering that Microsoft has released Internet Explorer 5.0 and Netscape's 5.0 is around the corner, everyone should have at least a 4.0 browser. Click on one of the below icons to download the latest browser.
