Blessed
Sacrament Shelter 1. Volunteer We will need one volunteer every Saturday night. Hours are 6:50 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. You can use the on-line web calendar (accessable from this page) to volunteer. There are no special requirements, and both men and woman are invited. 2. Pray In the musical Les Miserables, the last words are "To love another person is to see the face of God." Not only will our shelter help those who need our shelter, it will help our community grow in closer communion with Jesus as we do His work. I hope that this will also help heal the sad divisions we have as a community by everyone focusing on a single goal -- living out the Gospel message and being a people of mission. Praying for those we shelter and praying for our community are very important to this mission. 3. Donations Blessed Sacrament Shelter will need evening snacks (cookies, brownies, fruit, etc.), coffee, and money. Please bring all donated food and money to the parish office. If you write a check, please be sure to write "SHELTER" on the memo line of the check (in BIG letters!). As this project matures, we will be doing more activities that will give people the opportunity to help.
