IPSentry Warning

I have been evaluating different utilities that will ping my servers to ensure they are up.  I found IPSentry to be a good product to do this.  I paid $99 and then downloaded the program.  Yet, the program I downloaded was an evaluation program.   There were no registration codes sent to me which confused and upset me.  I sent the following letter to IPSentry.

>I ordered IPSentry over the Web via Digital River.
>
>All it did is download a new Eval Copy -- I didn't know that my $99 was
>going to give me a piece of software that I could download for free.
>And it is still set to expire. What crappy customer service -- in fact,
>this is a rip-off. I want my money back.
>
>Michael O'Brien

This was my response from IPSentry:

Actually, you should have received a registration key and code...

But PLEASE contact Digital River for a refund. $99 is not enough money to
put up with ignorant assholes like you who are too stupid to understand the
concept of registering shareware and then blame everybody else for your
ignorance.

Our existing customer base consists entirely of intelligent people who ask
questions or request service in a professional manner. I prefer to keep it
that way and would hate to start infecting that base with dip-shits such as
you.

TIA

_______________

Rex W. Walker is the author of the program and I am assuming the owner of the company.   Although my e-mail could have been calmer, I do not believe it was off the deep end.  I was sent no registration codes and felt like I just waisted $99.

Be forewarned, if you ever experience any problem with IPSentry, you may be called an "Ignorant Asshole" and "dip-shit" too.   If you care about customer service, you may wish to take your business somewhere else.

A friend just recomended SiteScope (http://www.sitescope.com/) -- if you are evaluating products, please give them a try.
